The purpose of this overview document is to give you a highlight of the core features that are included in this release along with additional improvements and fixes that were also made.
HIGHLIGHTS OF NEW FEATURES
- CATEGORY MANAGEMENT
We have released a category management dashboard that allows users to create categories on their stores. You can find this by going to the product dashboard of your store within the action icon buttons in the upper right of the page. Once you create a category, you can copy that URL to put into a new menu label of your store. - CATEGORY PAGES
Once you create a new menu label and include the category URL you copied, your category page is now displayed on the store. In the product details page of a product, you can select the category that you want that product to go in. There is also the option for the customer to ‘Sort’ which will allow them to find products easier within a category.
CATEGORY ORGANIZATION
Users have the ability to organize products into categories as well as organize the location of the products on the page so that they can display the most valuable products at the top.
HIGHLIGHTS OF IMPROVEMENTS & FIXES
PRODUCT VARIANTS ADJUSTMENT
Sometimes with an abundance of product variants, some metadata is not displayed on the product page. We have fixed this up to ensure all product variants are displayed.
INFINITE SPINNER
Every now and then, a page has an infinite loading spinner issue. We have recently fixed this on a particular page.
AND A FEW OTHER IMPROVEMENTS, bug fixes, and tweaks to make the IES platform more user friendly and powerful.
