The purpose of this overview document is to give you a highlight of the core features that are included in this release along with additional improvements and fixes that were also made.

HIGHLIGHTS OF NEW FEATURES

  1. PRODUCT REVIEW MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

In order to provide the ability for users to collect and display product reviews, we have released a ‘product reviews’ dashboard where users have multiple options for management. Reviews can be imported manually by .csv file or submitted by customers. All new reviews are given the ‘pending’ status and require the user to approve them before they are displayed on the page. The ‘Reviews’ icon is present within the action buttons on the product dashboard. 





2. OPTION TO IMPORT REVIEWS FROM CSV FILE

This capability allows a user to import product reviews from other review services that they may have been previously using or from a spreadsheet that they have created. CSV stands for Comma Separated Values and broadly used by many spreadsheet, database and data storage uses. This option allows a user to upload or drag & drop a .csv file to match and assign data from the file to the product fields on the platform, including the actual product that the review is in regards to. This option improves conversions faster and streamlines the review importation process. 

3. DISPLAY, ORGANIZE & VERIFY REVIEWS 

On the product reviews dashboard, the user can see the default ‘pending’ status as well as a toggle to approve the review and options to preview and delete. Additional information that is displayed and sortable by the user includes the number of the review, type, product, rating, reviewer name, review content and date of the review. After approval, the review is displayed on the store with a verified purchase badge. 

4. DISCOUNT CONFIGURATION FOR CUSTOMERS WHO LEAVE REVIEWS WITH PHOTOS OF THE PRODUCT 

In order to incentivize customers to leave reviews with photos of the product there is a way to configure discounts for the customer to apply on their next order within the user’s store. This can be managed from the product reviews dashboard in the ‘Review Settings’ icon. This provides the capability to set a discount and provide a unique promo code that will automatically be applied to the customer’s store upon their next order. We recommend anywhere from a 15% to 30% discount rate. 






HIGHLIGHTS OF IMPROVEMENT & FIXES 

  1. UPLOAD IMAGE ERROR WITH API

Previously, there was an error within the system where images with capitalized extensions (.JPG, .PNG, etc.) were not uploading properly with the API. The issue has been resolved and fixed. 

  1. PRODUCT REVIEW DISPLAY ON MOBILE

In regards to the release today, there were a few bugs and kinks in mobile that still needed to be worked out in order for reviews to display properly. These issues have been resolved and fixed. 

  1.  AND A FEW OTHER IMPROVEMENTS, bug fixes, and tweaks to make the IES platform more powerful.
