A redirect page is a way to forward visitors and search engines from one URL to another. Redirect pages are used when moving content to a new URL when deleting pages or when changing domain names or merging websites.

A website redirect points your old URL to a new page. When anyone types in or clicks on that URL they’ll be taken to the page page that you’ve set up on the redirect instead. This keeps the value of any links you’ve built to that page which is important for SEO. If you don’t know what SEO is, we encourage you to learn more about it and what it is.
